JOB SUMMARY:

effective training processes that close plant
performance gaps, contribute to safe and reliable
plant operations, and achieve renewed
accreditation by INPO for all Diablo Canyon Power
Plant DCPP training programs.
Position Summary
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily
activities of Nuclear Instructors and ensuring
that the Chemistry and Radiation Protection
training programs are implemented fully using the
Systematic Approach to Training principles.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
---------------------------
Must possess a High School diploma, GED or
equivalent work experience
4 years of Nuclear Power Plant technical and/or
maintenance instructor
training experience.
Desired Qualifications
---------------------------
3 years of supervisory experience

Certification
Responsibilities
-Ensure the CRP training programs are implemented
with quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and
customer focus.
-Work with appropriate department management in
deploying training resources to best meet their
needs.
-Ensure training meets Institute of Nuclear Power
Operations INPO accreditation and NRC
requirements.
-Evaluate, coach, and mentor instructors on
performance and job expectations.
-Evaluate and provide feedback on instructional
techniques, plans, and training materials prepared
by instructors, such as outlines, text, and
handouts.
-Provide feedback and guidance to nuclear
instructors regarding training processes, data
collection, and interpretation of test results and
post training evaluations.
-Establish expectations for instructors regarding
safety, student engagement in classrooms and labs,
and the use of human performance tools and
techniques.
-Makes hiring, performance evaluation, coaching,
discipline, and termination decisions
-Has budgetary and productivity responsibility for
work group.
-Is held accountable for meeting day-to-day work
group objectives
