For this specific engineering position, the successful applicant may be responsible for mechanical design integration, thermal analysis or structural analysis of mechanical/electrical ground support equipment, spaceborne subsystems and spaceborne Payloads. Successful candidate must be able to support mechanical trade studies, physical verification of hardware, develop analysis reports, and provide support to qualification/acceptance testing. The candidate should also be capable of designing to hardware requirement specifications, and be familiar with producibility constraints and solid modeling. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business need.Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Exposure to the use of 3D solid modeling design software such as Pro-Engineer, familiarity with structural analysis software such as NASTRAN/PATRAN, or exposure to thermal modeling and analysis software such as Thermal Desktop.Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Master''s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline.
