Duites include and not limited to checking patrons identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Collect payments from customers. Write patrons food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Take orders from patrons for food or beverages.<br><br> Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Inform customers of daily specials. Examined trays to ensure that they contain required items<br><br>*********NOTE**** The California Food Handler Card law SB 602 is a landmark bill signed in 2010 that creates a statewide standard for safe food handling in California restaurants. The law ensures that food handlers gain and exhibit basic food safety knowledge by passing a test. ****Food handlers must obtain a food handler card within 30 days of the date of hire. Must have reliable transportion. Lamont/Arvin residents encouraged to apply.<br><br>Must be able to pass employers drug screen and background investigation.
