<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools,
conveyor systems and production machines and equipment. Previous beverage manufacturing experience is
helpful. Knowledge of PLCs, mechanical systems, electronic control circuitry, motors, hydraulic systems,
ammonia systems, boilers and pumps most helpful. Educational experience Fifth year college or university
program certificate or two to four years related experience and/ or training or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Beverage/ Bottling line experience preferred. Conflict resolution skills, customer
service, maintain confidentiality. Team work skills. Will rotate shifts, some weekends are required.
Language skills Read, comprehend simple instruction short correspondence and memos. Ability to write
simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to
customers and clients.
Mathematical skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and
geometry.
Reasoning skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written,
oral or diagram form.
- Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to
- Observe mechanical devices in operation listen to sounds to locate cause of trouble
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examine form and texture of parts to defect imperfections
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Install special functional and structural parts in a device
- Test, lubricate and clean parts
- Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Initiate purchase order for parts and machines
- Repair electrical equipment
