Administration, or Human Resources, or the
equivalent combination of training, education, and
experience.
         A minimum 6 years related finance and/or
human resources in a multidivisional/complex
organization.
         Demonstrated sound and broad knowledge
of financial practices, business, administrative,
and human resources practices in order to execute
these complex appointments.
         Skilled in multitasking, setting
priorities effectively, and facilitating timely
execution of appointments.  Able to identify
issues that expedite and delay the process,
formulate recommendations for change and
implement.
         Proven conceptual, analytical, and
evaluative skills to make sound independent
decisions.
         Demonstrated ability to learn new
business software applications e.g., grants
management system, financial management system,
human resources system and to accurately enter
data into such systems.  Basic knowledge of office
software including MS Office.
         Extensive experience using PeopleSoft
and spreadsheet software to create reports and
analyze data.
         Proven ability to write in a clear and
concise manner and effective oral communication
skills.
         Ability to learn and apply LBNL, UC, DOE
and other policy and procedures relative to the
execution of appointments.
         Demonstrated ability to develop and
maintain effective working relationships with
scientific staff, other employees, financial, HR,
procurement, and other Operations counterparts.
