<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>This rewarding position involves working full time
in a correctional facility with incarcerated
people, providing family liaison, reentry
assistance, parenting education, conflict
resolution groups and resources. The Family
Liaison Services Specialist, located inside
Ironwood State Prison, works on a daily basis with
inmates and correctional staff. Duties include
conducting parenting education and conflict
resolution groups and assisting inmates to resolve
family concerns. This is a full time position.
Friends Outside is an organization founded in 1955
by Quakers in the traditions of respect,
nonviolence and social justice. We have been
working inside California state prisons since
1971. We provide evidence-based jail and prison
rehabilitation programs, long and short term
reentry support, family support through
institution Visitor Centers, and advocacy for
children of incarcerated parents through the Bill
of Rights for Children of Incarcerated Parents.
Required Qualifications-
-Two year college degree in criminal justice or
social science, or
-Two years documented experience in group
facilitation and/or case management in the area of
criminal justice or social service.- Excellent
written and spoken communications.
-Ability to keep accurate and complete records and
meet deadlines.- Ability to obtain and maintain a
California Department of Corrections and
Rehabilitation clearance.
-Valid California drivers license and current
automobile registration and insurance.
Desired Qualifications
-Experience working with inmates in a correctional
facility, or with a similar population.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
-Experience facilitating groups.
Location Ironwood State Prison in Blythe, CA
Wages 12.50/hour 40 hours/week wages are non-
negotiable
Hours Weekends required
