Friends Outside is a non-profit agency who works with family and friends visiting someone who is incarcerated in a California State Prison. We have Visitor Centers, which provides services to families and friends of incarcerated individuals, at all the State Prisons in California.
The Childrens Program Coordinator is responsible for providing age appropriate activities and for the safe and appropriate care of children six 6 years and older, who are left at the Visitor Center 3 hrs or less, while the parent or caregiver is visiting an incarcerated friend or family member.
The position is P/T 16 hrs/wk, working every Saturday and Sunday and a minimum of 5 major holidays New Years, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays as deemed necessary. People applying must have a GED or equivalent at least 3 ECE units and/or 1 year related experience ability to pass a security clearance have a clear TB Test result.
This position can be job shared.
