1.Each dentist shall provide quality dental care in a timely and appropriate manner.  The treatment provided must be supported by documented diagnostic findings.
2.Each facility shall provide the following dental services when clinically indicated
a.Examinations
b.Dental x-rays
c.Fillings
d.Oral surgery
e.Temporary crowns
f.Basic endodontic services
g.Basic periodontal services
h.Partial and complete dentures including anterior stayplates
3.Dental Facilities shall not provide the following services
a.Implants
b.Cosmetic procedures
c.Full mouth reconstruction
d.Elaborate or extensive treatment
e.Treatment for conditions with poor prognosis
f.Fixed prosthdontics cast, crowns, and bridges
4.Any treatment for conditions not included within these guidelines may be provided, on a case-by-case basis, when the Chief Dentist approves the treatment prescribed by the attending dentist. The decisions shall be based on
a.Outcome studies supporting the effectiveness of the proposed treatment
b.Co-existing medical and dental problems
c.Availability of service
d.Length of incarceration
e.Acuity
f.Cost
