<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>BiRite Foodservice Distributors is a family-owned business, started in 1966.  Presently, the Company has over 250 employees.  We distribute dry and frozen groceries, fresh meats, chemicals, equipment and supplies to restaurants, hotels and institutional users throughout the Bay Area.
Were looking for someone with serious ambition, who has what it takes to close sales and beat quotas.
All District Sales Representatives DSR in the department handle their own set of customers and are responsible for growing their territory sales.  Constant communication with their Sales Manager is required.  Communication with the Customer Service department, buyers and warehouse is also necessary.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Open and develop new accounts 90% of the time spent in the field
Visit customers on a daily basis
Process and do maintenance add-ons, deletions, and substitutions on customer orders
Respond to inquiries from customers regarding past, current and pending orders
Process sample requests
Process sales vias
Communicate with customers as necessary about customer delivery times
Research, print and fax copies of past invoices as needed
Prospect for new customers and keep Sales Manager informed on progress
Answer customer inquiries relating to product information, pricing, delivery times, inventory on hand and general company information
Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
2 years of broadline food service distribution OUTSIDE sales experience  or a graduate from culinary school or 4 years of restaurant management experience is required
Exceptional presentation, communication, and customer service skills including sales presentations and negotiations a must.
High energy, enthusiasm, and motivated demeanor required.
Familiarity with San Francisco a must
Chef or restaurant management experience is a major plus
Must have Valid Driver License, Car Insurance, and reliable vehicle
Prospecting to determine if the lead wants our benefits and can afford our companys product or service is a must.
Stable Employment History a MUST
Strong written communication skills required to promptly respond to customer inquiries
Utilize effective leadership and organizational skills to maximize performance and
to meet constant deadlines and cut-offs
Attention to detail and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Accurately complete tasks on time despite constant interruptions
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Will be trained on IDS and Tibersoft programs

Physical Demands
These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the DSRs job. While performing the responsibilities of the DSRs job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, drive, to handle and feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 35 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to submit paperwork by the deadline. Must be able to type and have MS Office knowledge.
