The responsibilities of the Mechanic include, but are not limited to, the following:· Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with customers· Maintains and repairs equipment such as refrigerators, heaters, air fans, windows, ovens/stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryer.· Completes routine repairs of lighting systems· Maintains daily, weekly and/or monthly reports as required· Informs the supervisor of any condition deemed to be unsafe. Works with and takes direction from the supervisor· Learns, understands, and complies with fire, safety, other emergency practices, Company and customer policies· Assists in training of other employees as directed· Works according to the schedule prepared by the supervisor· Assists in emergencies as needed including emergency calls at non-scheduled hours· Assists and ensures that all work areas are returned to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition· Performs other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS· 1-3 years experience in HVAC or general building trades· 1-3 years plumbing experience· 1-3 years electrical experience· Able to lift heavy objects when necessary· Able to understand and carry out instructions quickly· Excellent troubleshooting skills· Able to keep simple records of activities performed and complete basic reports in English· Availability to work shifts and overtime as needed· Able to read, write, and speak in English· Able to maintain good working relations with other staff and customer· Capable of working independently with minimal supervisionEOE :ABM IS AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER (M/F/V/D)
