Superior Technical Resources, Inc. is looking for
a Sourcing Specialist, Strategic Sourcing
Procurement to work in Burbank, CA. Job Profile As
part of the Sourcing Procurement SP team, the
Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for
sourcing activities with a focus on internal
stakeholder management, category management, and
technical solutions. The Sourcing Specialist will
provide remote support to multiple levels of
leadership and contributors within other SP teams
and across multiple business units of client
company. . While specific projects will vary, the
Sourcing Specialist will be accountable for
creating value through leading and supporting
business unit sourcing initiatives in close
collaboration with other SSP team members and
diverse business partners, which enable internal
stakeholders to achieve their strategic and
operational goals while driving reductions in
Total Cost of Ownership. This role requires the
development and execution of data-driven sourcing
strategies, with an equal emphasis placed on the
ability to identify, analyze, and quantify
opportunities as the ability to negotiate. This
person will be expected to build relationships
with executive stakeholders within Sourcing and
Procurement and across multiple business units, as
well as with legal, financial, and operational
representatives across the Company. Reporting
Relationship The Sourcing Specialist will report
to a Manager on the SP team, who will be
responsible for allocation of projects.
Responsibilities Project Management With limited
guidance from senior management, take on the
responsibility for projects. Contribute to
identification of objectives, deliverables, plans,
timelines, needs, and budget. Drive project
activity through the communication of
expectations, enforcement of deadlines, and
creation and evaluation of deliverables. Bring
issues immediately to the attention of senior
management, and consult with senior management and
project management experts as needed. Sourcing and
Negotiation Lead or support the development and
execution of sourcing strategies and negotiation
plans using a standard process, and ready the
project team for each stage in the process.
Demonstrate the ability to put a structured
sourcing process into action in formal and
informal negotiations, and leverage the process to
resolve conflicts and build consensus. Prepare and
execute RFI/RFQ/RFPs that facilitate stakeholders
assessment of the validity of responses using
internal online tools e.g., Ariba sourcing
toolset. Utilize comparison metrics to determine
best-fit suppliers. Enable stakeholders to make
effective business decisions through evaluation of
responses and/or facilitation of the evaluation
process. When feasible, conduct negotiations with
suppliers, independently or as part of a team,
through a combination of online exchanges and
directly with suppliers. Work closely with
operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure
interests are addressed, conflicts are resolved,
and successful conclusions are reached, through
