<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Facilities Maintenance Technician
The successful candidate will provide support to a research and
consulting firm,
Acumen, LLC, as a member of the Facilities department. This includes
assistance with
day-to-day operations and promptly addressing any facilities-related
issues that may
arise.
Duties include but are not limited to -
Perform general light-duty maintenance and troubleshoot issues
related to
facility, minor cosmetic repairs such as drywall/painting, and repairs
to HVAC,
plumbing, etc.
Perform work inside crawl spaces and ceilings, crouching, bending or
standing
for periods of time.
Lift and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either
manually or by
using hand truck at least 70 lbs.
Respond promptly to requests for office maintenance, repairs,
supplies, cleaning
needs, etc. from employees to address and resolve needs and problems.
Set up, arrange, and remove equipment, tables, chairs, furniture,
etc. to prepare
facilities for company events such as workshops and meetings.
Be able to communicate effectively and cooperate with coworkers,
onsite
visitors/contractors, and other departments.
Proactively inspect the building, offices, common areas, etc. and
report back any
safety, sanitation, fire hazards or other issues to the Facilities
Supervisor.
Help monitor and ensure that employees and visitors comply with
Acumens
onsite security policy.
Requirements
High school diploma Associate/technical degree or some college
preferred.
Experience in and knowledge of basic construction, general facilities
maintenance to include electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and
plumbing.
Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word,
Excel, and
Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication ability customer service,
organization
and time management skills are a must.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Successfully pass a background check.
Part-time, non-exempt hourly position. Compensation depends on
experience/skillset.
