Integrate business process improvement to optimize both processes and inventory value.* Identify and manage excess and obsolete inventory. Maintaining company goals for inventory levels and turns.* Research and analyze inventory levels. Focus on reducing working capital in line with strategic commercial objectives. Incorporate inventory control with operations, sales, and logistics. Identifying and helping manage excess and obsolete inventory. Maintaining company goals for inventory levels and turns. Develops, implements and maintains policies and procedures designed to support an efficient company-wide product consolidation system* Develop and implement procedures and internal controls over the physical product flow and accounting of inventory distribution. On a scheduled basis, report on inventory status and customer service.* Collaborates with Sales department to manage new product introductions. Minimizes duplications of products offered for sale by comparing new models with existing products.  Nature and Scope* Solutions require analysis and investigation.* Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.* Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.Work Environment* Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.* Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.Essential SkillsMinimum Qualifications* Must be eighteen years of age* Must pass the Drug Test* Must pass the Background Check* Must pass pre-employment tests if applicableEducation and Experience* Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.Preferred Qualifications* Ten years work experience in inventory management.* Strong working background utilizing an ERP system in a multi-site, multi-state distribution company.* Experience analyzing industry and market trends.* Bachelor''s degree in business.
