Basic Job Functions
Responsible for the safe and economic operation of large utility scale PV power plant.
This overall objective will be achieved by meeting the following plant objectives health and safety performance, employee training and development, quality control, work management system, performance management, operation and maintenance of generation assets, evaluation of reliability improvements and technology, process development and oversight, and budget adherence.
Supervisory Responsibility Manage 17-25 site personnel including, staff specialists, subject matter experts, managers, and technicians.
Experience
10 years of power industry experience preferred with a minimum of 5 years of management experience Ops, Maintenance, or Plant Manager in a power plant environment with profit  loss responsibility.
Demonstrated understanding of power plant, EHS compliance, management, operations, and maintenance.
Education
BS in Engineering or other technical 4 year degree MBA preferred.
Required Skills
Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to demonstrate a high level of commitment to the customers success.
Proficient in the application of data-driven management practices Statistical Process Control, Continuous Improvement  Data Collection  Analysis
Ability to share technical expertise with team members and the customer.
Ability to administer company and union work rules, contracts and procedures

Essential Functions  Responsibilities
Serves as the senior site manager of a utility scale PV power plant greater than 250 MW and an asset value greater than $500 million, with responsibility for all plant personnel, plant performance, policies, and programs.
Serves as the single point of contact for both Plant Operations and Plant Maintenance and then delegates tasks accordingly.
Manages the financial results of the plants business and operations. Including the development, management and reporting annual operating budget of up to $10 million.
Ensures strict adherence to corporate values in complying with all regulatory requirements including environmental, safety, reliability and other laws and regulations
Environmental management for the site with billable work back the customer of 15%+
Manages management and transportation of Universal Waste.
Plans strategy to avoid default on large value contract to prevent costs to the company of up to 125% of the contract value.
Interacts with local community, interconnections and regulatory agencies.
Direct interaction with the customer. Report and escalate issues that affect FS as a whole and handle communication and interaction with external parties related directly to the power plant.
Ensure adherence with First Solar policies and procedures.
Continuously strives to improve the condition and performance of the plant.
Participates in public forums to support business development, community education and maintains effective relationships with local political and community leaders.
Ensures compliance with all contracts including LGIA, PPA and OM contracts to protect the long-term interests of the company.
