<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>14738">Certified Maintenance ElectricianJob Code :14738Division :AAG - SPD CamarilloLocation :Camarillo CA US 93012Job Type :Full TimeCareer Level :Experienced (Non-Manager)Education :High School or equivalentCategory :Installation, Maintenance, and RepairJob Description :POSITION SUMMARY:With minimum guidance in a team environment, responsiblefor performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks ofa complex scope and nature in one or more of the followingareas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning,equipment, production and N/C machinery.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:Remove, repair or relocate machine parts; install air &water lines; align and adjust machines for productionoperation.Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventivemaintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment,machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment.Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul teststands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication forhydraulic and pneumatic application and contaminationcontrol.Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches,shipping boxes and other carpentry.Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to beused in overhaul and repair.Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment afterinstallation.Identify and repair numerical controlled machinemalfunctions.Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanicaloperations for proper operation.Use precision test equipment.May work with computers and computer software to create andoperate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.As a specialized hazardous material technician, may:Coordinate purchase, inventory delivery and pickup ofhazardous material and maintain current inventory of on-site chemicals.Advise and assist in clean-up of chemical spills.Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and schedulingpickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shippedoffsite.Initiate compliance inspections.Provide technical assistance on hazardous materialscompliance and safe practices.Perform other related responsibilities.(02/03/2001)Job Requirements :Five years related maintenance experience or demonstratedability to perform describedresponsibilities.May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaulprocedures, especially aerospace associated equipment.Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.Possess required tools.May require ability to setup and operate carpentry, handand power tools.May require working knowledge of national, state and localelectrical codes.May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology,i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping;tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic andpneumatic applications.May require knowledge of chemicals and theircharacteristics.May require working knowledge of computer and computersoftware to operate programs, create reports, andspreadsheets.May require a Hazardous Material Handling CertificateRequired to lift up to 50 pounds.May require forklift operator certification.Must demonstrate effective verbal, written andinterpersonal communication skills.Ability to work with others and be a participative teamplayer.Other Skills :Equal opportunity/Affirmative action employer.
