Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will serve as the Lead Range Carpenter responsible for operating carpentry machinery (table saws) in support of maintaining selected ranges and facilities at Camp Roberts, California Army National Guard installation located approximately 9 miles north of the city of Paso Robles. In addition, he or she must be trained and certified to operate carpentry machinery (table saws) and power tools. As Lead Range Carpenter, you will be responsible for range maintenance and repair. Additional responsibilities will include: performing vegetation control such as: bushes removal that can cause unsafe range conditions; conduct routine maintenance and repair all range firing markers and construct and maintain targets and target frames.Specific Qualifications:The ideal candidate:- Must have two years experience working range maintenance at a military training center.- Must be certified to operate light carpentry machinery.- Must have two years experience working with light carpentry machinery to include; Miter Saw, Table Saw, Skill Saw, Chop Saw, Band Saw, Chain Saw, Weed Eater, DeWalt Drills, Dewalt Grinder,Swisher and Panel Saw.Desirables:Military service as a Non-Commissioned Officer with experience operating ranges.Desirable Certifications:Valid CA Driver license.Minimum Level of Education:(Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)Minimum of a High School diploma.
