Read and interpret information from planning documents, drawings, and engineering specifications. Utilize shop hand and power tools to layout, fabricate, assemble, install/modify/rework structural hardware. Install/set-up systems, hardware in preparation of systems testing. Diagnose and correct assembly and test anomalies. Assist in pressure and leak test operations. Record assembly, repair and modification data.High School diploma or equivalent required.Airframe & Powerplant certification a plus.Minimum 3 years assembly techniques and practices.Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and practices.General understanding of pressure systems and associated testing.Familiarization of clean room operations and practices.General awareness of LEAN manufacturing principles.This position requires the ability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.United Technologies Corporation is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
