Recently featured in San Diego Magazine’s list of Cool Companies, ViaSat is looking for an exceptional Government Compliance Accountant to support this important functional area.The Government Compliance Accountant will use technical accounting knowledge and superior people skills to work across teams to review and reconcile accounts to ensure proper classification. Working with your teammates in Government Compliance, you will support the annual Incurred Cost submission as you help prepare schedules and worksheets. You will help support both internal and external audits and work with an outstanding team.Experience/Skills Required:* 3+ years’ experience in a Corporate Accounting/Finance department.* Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and cost allowability.* Possess a good understanding of GAAP* Proficiency in Excel and Work* US Citizenship required* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related areaPreferred:* Experience with DCAA audit support and interface* Experience preparing and/or supporting Incurred Cost Proposals (ICE) claims* Experience preparing Disclosure Statements and developing Indirect Rates.Our corporate headquarters in Carlsbad is just a hop and skip away from the beautiful Pacific Coast.
