In this position you will provide support to the Facilities group whose goal is to effectively maintain all systems, equipment and assets in good working order to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for daily support of the Maintenance Department to ensure that all scheduled / unscheduled maintenance and repairs are communicated and executed in a timely manner. With your excellent multitasking abilities you ensure all matters related to subcontractor activities/services are managed equally to internal maintenance services. Your effective communication will be key as you are responsible for providing support to outside contractor services, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, and to provide general technical support to lab and office staff. Your active participation will be critical in all site infrastructure operations for all ViaSat locations. In this hands-on role you can guarantee no day will be the same!Experience/Skills Required* 6+ years general MEP experience supporting facilities operations* Experience in facilities and facilities maintenance functions* Knowledge of general facilities equipment* Must be Proficient with computer programs System Controls / BMS Applications* Ability to perform “On-Call” responsibilities for after hour / weekend coverage* Strong organizational skills and time management skills.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.* High School Diploma or GED* US CitizenshipPreferred* 1+ years supervisor and/or lead experience supporting a facilities group* Specialization in one of the following trades; HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical or Piping/Plumbing* Extensive reading blue prints, drawings and systems specifications/submittals.
