You will be able to use your engineering experience to build the next generation of advanced communications products and systems.As part of this fast-paced team, you will get to touch cutting edge technology on a daily basis as you work to create procedures and Engineering work orders for the service team. Using your keen ability to troubleshoot tough issues, you will perform root cause analysis on a variety of failures as well as mentor Tier II technicians on complex issues in a variety of areas including: IP networking RF transmission hardware, Audio/Video encoders and Custom ViaSat products. Working with various Teleports to document and identify issues or potential problems with their infrastructure as well as provide product specific training to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff. Because you are proactive in your approach, you will work closely with Tier 3 and other engineering resources to understand and identify how features under development will impact the services team as well as the application development team to ensure that service needs are identified/included in future releases.Experience/Skills Required:* 2+ years experience in IP network maintenance or administration and direct customer service* Expertise in policy based router configuration* Strong experience in designing and evaluating IP networks as well as in using packet inspection tools such as WireShark* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, and Power Point as well as Linux* Bachelor’s Degree in a Electrical Engineering or related discipline* US Citizenship* Ability to obtain a security clearance* Ability to travel up to 25%Preferred:* CCNA* Scripting experience* Satellite industry experience* RF experienceAre you ready to take the next step in your Engineering career where you will thrive and enjoy coming to work?
