This person won&apos;t just be doing the typical duties of a BDM they will be Selling, Closing, Networking, and building customer relationships!You will...1. Identify Substation Automation Systems opportunities and employ tactics to engage sales, proposals, other team members to successfully close the deal.2. Understand and actively help to refine and influence customer expectations, needs & specifications3. Communicate efficiently the benefits of our project-specific system offering4. Work with local technical product experts and system architects to provide demonstrations and training5. Lead and manage cross-organizational capture teams6. Provide input into marketing collateral and participate in trade shows/events.Needed to do this job...1. Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline, preferably electrical engineering; MBA preferred2. Demonstrated sales experience (minimum 8 yrs) in Chemicals, Oil & Gas (COG) industries.3. Additional sales experience in other large industries and electric utilities a plus. 4. Solid power system competence.5. Robust understanding of Substation Automation Systems portfolio including: Protection, Control & Monitoring, Station Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Gateways, small SCADA systems, communications, and drop-in control house applications6. Demonstrated experience in developing/maintaining strategic customer relationships7. Able to communicate effectively, act decisively and communicate the importance of changes in the marketplace. 8. Excellent written and oral communication skills.9. Understand the relevant functionalities and features of distribution automation solutions/products.Great to have...1. The knowledge of various SCADA systems communication technologies such as DNP 3.0, Modbus, and IEC 61850 2. The ability to explain both the value proposition and our offering with regard to new emerging technologies (e.g. IEC 61850)3.
