<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Position ObjectiveLife Technologies is seeking a University Relations and Diversity Outreach Specialist to join our Human Resources team.This will be a creative and ambitious individual who can help to create and execute on Diversity & Inclusion and University Relations initiatives, both internally and externally.This position is accountable for developing and maintaining strong relationships with target diversity and student organizations, helping us build a diverse talent pipeline, representing Life Technologies as an employer of choice, and developing an inclusive work culture.Essential Functions•Work with the Talent Acquisition Leadership and key stakeholders to help create and execute on Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and University Relations (UR) initiatives•Provide input and data to management that helps drive strategic direction and decisions•Manage and build deep relationships with diversity organizations and target universities•Develop and implement programs around awareness, outreach, talent sourcing and selection•Work closely with HR, Learning and Development and Communication teams to ensure coordination of learning initiatives and events•Act as a critical resource to support education and awareness initiatives•Maintain and develop communication tools and templates to ensure consistent messaging and visual brand for recruiting and outreach events•Participate in benchmarking and analysis, identifying trends, opportunities and successes.•Review, screen and present top diverse candidates to appropriate audiences internally•Coordinate D&I and UR events, interviews, etc.•Champion the business case for D&I and UR as well as serve as spokesperson for the company''s outreach efforts, both internally and externally•Facilitate advancement of recruitment programs and initiatives to embed diversity and inclusion into the culture of the organization•Lead D&I and UR employment branding initiatives•Review and evaluate requests for corporate sponsorship and donations to partner organizations.Present appropriate opportunities to management•Consult with entry and experienced level recruiting teams to identify business representatives to serve as speakers, panelists and interviewers, and coordinate Life Technologies’ participation at events•Analyze data and trends in organizational metrics•Able to work productively and effectively in a fast past, stressful, demanding and ambiguous work environment.May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.Education:Bachelor''s Degree in the sciences, business, human resources or related fieldPreferred Master''s Degree or equivalent work experience.Experience/Requirements:Requires a minimum of1-2 relevant internships or 1 year related work experience* Istenacious, decisive, nimbleandquick* Anticipates needsand problems whilecreating solutions* Demonstrates asense of urgency, contagious optimismand a“can do” attitudeIsstrategic, astuteandforward-thinking* Greets challenge andchange as opportunity* Hascourageandconfidenceto take risks and learn from mistakes* Is authentic, transparent and leads by example, holding self and others accountable* Inspires, motivates and collaborates with others* Stretches across borders, breaks silos and builds effective partnerships with colleagues* Embraces and leverages diversity of culture and thoughtWorking Conditions:Works in an office environment.Frequent traveling required.
