Apply Engineering principals in researching, designing, evaluating, installing, operating and maintaining mechanical products, equipment, systems and process. Develop fabrication/assembly procedures for new manufacturing processes.CRDM, AF Solutions seeks candidates who will meet our customer expectations by striving without reserve for the greatest possible reliability and quality in our products, processes and systems by being accountable, having a voice, and taking actionPosition ResponsibilitiesDesign of simple to moderately complex tools and fixtures used in the manufacturing of catheters.Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications which may include the integration of PLC, temperature, motor, pneumatic, etc. controls in respective designs.Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.Development of manufacturing processes for components and/or catheter assembly to resolve simple or complex problems utilizing the application of science, ingenuity and creativity.Knowledge of customary and unconventional fabrication processes for components.Develop fabrication/assembly procedures for new manufacturing processes.Develop process validation strategies for manufacturing processes and write validation protocols and test reports in compliance to established validation procedures.Use of SolidWorks in the creation of the required design documentation for mechanical and electrical systems.Properly document activities in accordance with best engineering practices, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.Basic QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREDBachelor&#x2019;s degree in Mechanical EngineeringYEARS OF EXPERIENCEProficient in SolidWorks5 years of mechanical design of tools, fixtures and simple machiningComponent and assembly designing experienceDesired/Preferred QualificationsMedical Device manufacturing experience, including ISO and FDA requirementsProcess experience for electro-mechanical assemblyPhysical Job RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job involve normal vision.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.Ability to travel up to 10%
