<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator-600 Coffee Road*Location: California-Central Valley-ModestoOther Locations:The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator analyzes physician prescribing, recommends alternative cost effective therapies, develops intervention processes to improve quality and cost minimization of prescribing, creates educational programs for physicians , and provides drug information to clinicians within Sutter Health system. The position is responsible for analyzing drug trends and creating interventions to assist in decreasing overall healthcare costs, developing and funding educational programs, providing pharmaceutical information within the disease and case management programs, and developing clinics to assist physicians to improve the quality of care of patients.Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF''s medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight management. A bachelor''s degree in pharmacy is required. A Pharm.D or master''s degree in pharmacy and/or residency is preferred. Pharmacy licensure in the State of California is required. Prior-in patient, out-patient, or clinical pharmacy experience is required Managed care, health plan, pharmacy benefit management, or physician group experience is strongly recommended. Prior experience developing clinical programs, presenting clinical information, communicating drug information, and calculating the cost/benefit of a program is desirable. Experience with windows-based software required. Extensive clinical knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical issues is required. In addition, expertise in clinical interventions is recommended. Knowledge of managed care, hospital and physician group issues is strongly desirable. Experience with Oncology and Infusion Services beneficial. Financial analysis knowledge is highly recommended. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is recommended. Familiarity with pharmacy claims data and purchasing/pricing systems is desirable. Excellent organizational and time management skills, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills are required. Professional presence capability to work independently and ability to establish work-flow priorities with minimum supervision are important. Travel in Northern California may be required for off-site meetings and for medical group programs and meetings.
