Performs appropriate radiographic procedures for medical diagnosis under the direction of the radiologist and in accordance with established department procedures. Practices established radiation protection standards. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. This technologist will work in radiology and CT.Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF''s medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight managementHigh school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Certified by the State of California Clinical and holds a CA Fluoroscopy Permit required. Prefer ARRT advanced certification in CT or certification within one year of date of hire. California Venipuncture Certification is required. Practical experience during Radiologic Technology Training is essential. Incumbent must have completed a training program in computerized axial tomography and minimum of one year experience in Computed Tomography. Experience in CR, Dr,PACS, GE multi-slice scanner, power injectors, and all ancillary equipment preferred.  Ability to perform examinations of excellent technical quality, in an efficient manner Must possess or develop an in-depth knowledge of Radiologic instrumentation operation and quality control procedures. Must possess knowledge of or have the ability to learn the Quality Control procedures to be conducted by technologist. Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language are required. Knowledge of computers and their applications is required. The ability to be self directed and work with minimal supervision is required. The ability to deal with challenging patient interactions when patients are not well and unable to fully cooperate is required. The ability to pay attention to detail. The ability to manage competing demands on your time with a positive attitude is required. The ability to keep patient information confidential is required. The ability to recognize problems with films that may require immediate intervention from a physician is required. Must have a current license as registered technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
