Assimilates information to proactively develop quality activities aligned with MMC''s strategies and values. Proactively builds strong teams and business relationships, both internally and externally. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert (SME) on aspects of the quality program to develop and influence improvement strategies.Has significant responsibility for working with the organization to pursue operational improvements and efficiencies; supporting the development and implementation of clinical assessment/process improvement and redesign. The manager participates on a team that works toward identifying the best clinical and operational improvement practices for the organization. Pursues opportunities for work that adds value and eliminates waste and redundancy for the organization to help achieve and retain optimal quality outcomes. Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial Heart Institute.Minimum Qualifications:* Current California Registered Nurse License.* Bachelors degree in nursing.* Masters degree in a leadership field.* A minimum of 5 years recent acute hospital experience which includes experience in a role with leadership/supervisory responsibility, and experience in quality assessment, performance improvement, or continuous quality improvement.* Minimum of five (5) years experience directly related to healthcare. Experience must include healthcare operations, project management roles, healthcare consulting, and strong healthcare analytic responsibilities with hospitals or hospital systems.* Experience in use of Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint applications with proven ability to work within and generate statistical reports.* Ability to read, write, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required by the job.* Must possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, including a strong ability to make presentations to a variety of professional and lay audiences.* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and departments, including medical staff members.* Possess a valid California driver's license. Able to travel locally and occasionally out of area. Able to travel either alone or in a group.* Ability to function independently with minimal management required.* Willingness to dress and act in a professional manner at all times.Preferred Qualifications:* Current status as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.* Recent Project Management experience in a healthcare setting. Project management training or certification.* Recent experience directly related to creation, manipulation, and management of complex data sets, analytical tools, and database applications for healthcare organizations. * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or significant experience in use of lean concepts and willing to become certified
