<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Employee Health Nurse Practitioner - Central Valley Service AreaLocation: California-Central Valley-ModestoOther Locations: California-Central Valley-ModestoThe Employee Health Nurse Practitioner implements the planning, organizing, evaluating, communicating and teaching required in the provision of health care services to affiliate employees, physicians, allied health professionals and volunteers in the Central valley Service Area (CVSA) under the direction of the CVSA Manager of Employee Health and Disability Management. The Employee Health Nurse Practitioner performs medical evaluations following standardized procedures including pre-placement and medical surveillance examinations for employees at Memorial Medical Center (MMC) and Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. The nurse practitioner evaluates and treats MMC employees and volunteers injured or ill at work or exposed to communicable diseases or chemical hazards at work. The Nurse Practitioner promotes optimum health and safety in the work place and collaborates with other health care professionals in assessing and managing health care problems, maintaining continuity of care. The Nurse Practitioner provides day-to-day supervision of activities and resources of the CVSA Employee Health service. Minimum Qualifications:* BSN and three years of clinical nursing experience with on year of recent experience as an adult, family or Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner.* Possession of an active valid license as a registered nurse in the state of California as well as an active valid nurse practitioner certificate obtained by successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner course of study in an accredited university setting. Also must possess an active valid furnishing number in the state of California.* Comprehensive knowledge of advance nursing care principals, methods and procedures.* Experience that sufficiently demonstrates strong knowledge related to occupational health, employee health and worker's compensation.* Ability to function independently and possess the ability to identify and manage patient care issues.* Ability to conduct diagnostic examinations and treat episodic disorders.* Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, identify and resolve problems and manage conflict.* Must have good presentation skills.* Knowledge of California Worker's Compensation Law, Cal-OSHA regulations, Americans with Disabilities Act, California Fair Employment and Housing, Antidisability Discrimination Law, Title 22 and related legal and regulatory requirements.* Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.* Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County, including transcontinental travel. If MHA and/or own vehicle used on Association business, must possess valid California Driver's license and upon request proof of liability insurance.Preferred Qualifications:* Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an Employee Health, Occupational Health or ambulatory clinc setting.* Experience developing and administering policies, procedures and protocols.
