<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: ER TECHNICIAN*Location: California-Central Valley-TracyOther Locations:A full-service acute care facility serving the residents of Tracy for over 50 years, Sutter Tracy Community Hospital has a total of 82 inpatient beds. The hospital provides Basic Emergency Medical Services in a 9 bed E.D., soon to be expanded to 15 beds, inpatient and ambulatory surgical services, medical surgical, telemetry and coronary care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and rehabilitation services, including physical, speech and occupational therapy. Areas of specialized care include a Hemodialysis, Wound Care and Continence Center, and a Family Birth Center.Restock patient rooms and carts each shift. Checks for outdates on supply carts each shift. Assists nurses and physicians with procedures including suture prep and set-up, splinting, measuring and recording of vital signs, weights, intake and output, obtaining specimens and providing care with elimination needs of the patient, ambulation, transporting of patients and specimens. Assures accurate and timely communication concerning patients with doctors, nurses and ancillary departments. In addition, assists in maintaining a clean environment, cleaning gurneys between patients, sweeping/moping as needed in the patient area and monitors and maintains ER lobby environment. Additional duties include participation in the hazmat team (after training). Relieves ward clerk during breaks by performing general clerical type duties such as filing and photocopying information as needed, entering information/ typing instructions in IBEX, order-entry of ancillary tests and additional duties as assignedHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent required. A minimum of one year experience as an EMT, Paramedic, or CNA is preferred; enrollment in a registered nursing program with completion of at least the first year of instruction may substitute for the required experience.
