Our hours are 7:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.The Physical Therapy Assistant will work within the full scope of licensure, within the Home Health team in the provisioning of daily rehabilitation care in the home. This role, in conjunction with others, will consistently support all other levels of the Rehabilitation Services team.Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of the Central Valley is a large, non-profit home health agency established in 1953, which continues its commitment to providing quality, state-or-the-art health care at home. With an average daily census of 360 patients, total patient care is the goal of the VNA team. VNA''s staff of RNs, LVNs, Rehabilitation Therapists, Aides and Social Workers provide all levels of care in the home setting.Minimum Requirements:* Licensed by the State of California as a Physical Therapy Assistant.* Has 2 years appropriate experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.* Documented training in: Patient assessment and evaluation is required.* Planning, administering, and modifying therapeutic interventions that are within the overall plan of care as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist. These interventions focus on posture, locomotion, strength, endurance, cardiopulmonary function, balance, coordination, joint mobility and flexibility, pain, healing, repair and functional abilities in daily living skills.* Possesses current BCLS provider card OR acquired within 12 months of employment.* The ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the duties of the position is required.* Demonstrate ability to be self-directed. Efficiently manages own time.* Possesses a current California driver&#39;s license. Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County. Has available, on request, proof of liability insurance for the automobile used during working hours.Preferred Qualifications:* Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.* Membership in the California Physical Therapy Association.* Has prior experience in an acute care setting.
