<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Perioperative Nurse Coordinator - INTERNAL MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTERLocation: California-Central Valley-ModestoOther Locations:****MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY****The Perioperative Nurse Coordinator functions within the full scope of licensure and will facilitate the nursing process to include the following: develop a plan of care based on assessment, coordinate and direct implementation of care plan for a group of patients and review and evaluate effectiveness of care plan.The Perioperative Nurse Coordinator assures that physiological, safety, environmental, psychosocial and learning needs of the patient are appropriate.The Perioperative Nurse Coordinator serves as a clinical and professional role model while fostering growth and development opportunities for staff. Monitors the daily job performance of individual unit staff and participates in their evaluations and improving service while supporting the MMC mission and goals. Assists with monitoring of financial performance and analysis of information to achieve compliance with the budget. Involved with any capital budget requests for Spanos Court Surgery Center.The patient population served is all age groups as defined in the Age-Related Care Consideration Categories.Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial Heart Institute.Minimum Requirements:* Current licensure as an RN in the State of California.* Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical nursing experience with three (3) years in the area of clinical concentration which includes Operating Room, PACU (Recovery) or Same Day Surgery.* Documented professional accomplishments or references that demonstrates the leadership abilities to plan, direct, coordinate, provide, and improve health care services.* Must demonstrate excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.* The ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction.* Basic knowledge of nursing process in assessment of physical, psychosocial, and psychological needs of the patients.* Demonstrates basic knowledge of unit specific age criteria for patient populations.* Ability to write, read, hear, and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.* Must be able to travel in accordance with any requirements of your job (if MMC and/or own vehicle used on MMC business, must possess valid California Driver's License and upon request proof of liability insurance).Preferred Qualifications:* Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Health Services related.* Certification in area of clinical concentration.
