<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>3RD SHIFT MAINTENANCE MECHANICJob Number: nest-00029946Prepared FoodsEngineering/MaintenanceChatsworth CAPOSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance Mechanic responds to daily trouble calls from Maintenance or Production Team Leaders in a food manufacturing facility. Must be able to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems in a USDA production environment. Expertise must include working knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Knowledge in basic PLC troubleshooting, conveyors, pumps, motors, and various high speed packaging equipment, meat mixers, meat slicers, kettles, dough sheeters, depositors, ovens, etc.Will also own an area of responsibility (AOR) where s/he will be responsible for certain pieces of equipment to ensure PM''s are done within mfr. recommended schedule and keep their equipment in good repair. Must have experience performing PM''s, major over-hauls, modification, fabrication, welding, and medium level electrical repairs. Will be expected to generate purchase and service requests for equipment in AOR. Will take assignments from Maintenance Planner.The successful candidate will be very strong in the maintenance and troubleshooting in food processing and packaging equipment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skill in English. Proficient in use of computer SAP based maintenance program and Windows based for reporting. Must thrive in a fast paced environment and flexible to work any shift and /or weekends. The individual must have a High School diploma, GED or certificate of completion at an accredited trade technical school.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Employee shall follow Chatsworth Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.Maintains a basic knowledge of quality systems and programs, including GMP, Food Safety, NQMS, SOP and QMS.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Responds to trouble calls for any electrical or mechanical issues on equipment from Maintenance or Production Team Leaders. Troubleshoots any mechanical / electrical issue, be able to perform adjustments and repairs process and packaging machinery. Applies technical knowledge in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime. Will be able to quickly identify if problem is above capability and will call for appropriate assistance.2. Conducts daily preventive maintenance inspections, line audits, complete daily logs and performs required preventative actions such as equipment repairs, lubrications, cleaning, filter change, etc.3. Basic knowledge of control equipment and circuitry, PLC interfaces, temperature controlling and sensing equipment, timing equipment, VFD''s, metal detection, motor control, weighing systems, servo drives and inverters, recording equipment and power supplies AC & DC.4. Subject to company policies and procedures, is responsible for the accomplishment of assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks and responsibilities by due dates.5. Will be held responsible for an area of responsibility (AOR). Determines nature of problem, recommends appropriate solutions, generates purchase requests, schedules the work, arranges all required tools and makes appropriate repair. Merely reporting a problem to a Team Leader or informing a Team Leader parts are required is not acceptable.6. Operates lathe, drill press, mill, and accessory equipment in the manufacturing of fixtures and machines. May install minor modifications and do limited plumbing, carpentry and painting.7. Uses and understands calipers, feeler gauges and various other type of measurement devices.8. Operates a wide variety of commonly used hand and small power tools to perform work.9.
