We have a growth opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician in our Chatsworth, CA corporate office.

JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will maintain and improve the Iris International Chatsworth facilities locations. Including but not limited to maintenance programs, building security, safety program, moves, housekeeping and the grounds.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment
- Maintain break rooms, bathrooms and outside cleanliness
- Ensure break rooms and bathrooms are stocked with supplies to avoid shortages
- Hands on repair of general building repairs and plant equipment
- Handle all facilities and security emergencies
- Inspection of the facility regularly for maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Responsible to supervise housekeeping and grounds crew.
- Responsible to perform other miscellaneous duties as directed
- Assist in moving furniture, machinery, work benches, cubicles and relocating employee office space.
- Respond to Alarm issues 24/7 when Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician is unavailable
- Interact with and respond to employees on various Facilities related requests.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a minimum two years as a Facilities Maintenance Technician with responsibilities for at least 50,000 square foot or larger facility.
Specific Skills/Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of repair, maintenance and construction techniques and of the tools, methods, practices, materials and equipment used in the building and mechanical trades.
- Working knowledge of building codes, and all other rules and regulations governing repair, and maintenance of facilities.
- Read schematics and blueprints, draft simple facility drawings, and estimate repairs.
- Knowledge of, MS Word, MS Excel, and experience with ISO environments are a plus.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma and some technical or trade school with a major in building trade or education and directly related experience.  Certificate or Diploma from a technical or trade school a plus.
