<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Job Title: Maintenance Technician Requisition Number: 28284Functional Area: Manufacturing/OperationsWork Location: Aerostructures - Chula VistaJob Description Summary: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the following at the Chula Vista facility:Will require the maintenance, repair, overhaul, build or complete rebuilding, assembly, disassembly, fabrication, installation, dismantling, surface preparation and painting of all types of plant machinery, equipment, transportation equipment and vehicles.Will support the maintenance, repair, rebuilding, disassembly, assembly and testing of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic portable tools, equipment and attachments and the repair and overhaul of standard tools and equipment.Requires the planning, development, layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of non-production sheet metal parts and assemblies.Works closely with authorized personnel to develop, recommend and insure the most efficient methods of maintenance, modification and repair of equipment facilities.May maintain records pertaining to the work described herein.Uses the necessary equipment, tools and material required to perform the work described herein.Maintains good shop practices and procedure.Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent, and 2+ year of relevant experience.Required:- Ability to use mechanic''s and machinist''s hand tools and precision measuring instruments.- Apply general knowledge of the physical characteristics and heat treatment of metals.- Use arithmetic including algebra, geometry, decimals, and fractions.- Apply a thorough knowledge of electric, pneumatic and hydraulic portable tools and equipment, paint shop practices and procedures.- Set up and operate hand and power sheet metal tools and machines, power wood working machines, carpenter''s hand tools, measuring instruments, etc.- Ability to obtain information from repair charts, manufacturer''s manuals, etc. as required for performance of work described.- Follow written and verbal instructions.- Must work well in a team environment.- Must have good communication skills, verbal and written.- Must pass a valpar test in order to be considered for this role.- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.% Travel Required: 0%
