We are focused on the design, systems engineering, project management, procurement, installation, training, testing, and field maintenance of these systems. In addition, our staff provides Hull, Mechanical and Electrical, as well as Weapons Systems design and installation support services, primarily for US Navy vessels. We are geographically dispersed with operations at numerous US Naval ports.Job Description:Responsible for fabrication and assembly of various electromechanical and electronic assemblies. Installation experience should include the moving and un-crating of equipment, the installation of electronic equipment, ducts, cableways, cables, lagging, soldering with low voltage soldering devices, the use of power tools, and assembling both large scale and intricate mechanical assemblies and working with blueprints, assembly drawings and sketches in completing a wide variety of assembly and subassembly tasks Receives technical guidance from supervisor or higher level technician and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field. Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Typically reports to a supervisor.Working Conditions:Work is performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises, muscle strains, serious injury, or death.Required Skills and Experience:Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with 3 or more years of Shipboard experience in the field or in a related area. Applicant must have experience in the fabrication and precision assembly of various mechanical assemblies. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
