<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Director of Safety & ComplianceTracking Code9200-137Job DescriptionThe Director of Safety & Compliance will be responsible for designing, promoting and maintaining an associate driven proactive safety culture throughout the Store Support Center, Stores and Distribution Center locations that ensures ongoing safety knowledge, training, attitude and work habits for all associates and customers.Required Skills* Develop, implement, and maintain safety & compliance programs&#160;* Coordinate and perform internal audits to test and maintain compliance with established laws, regulations, and policies (DNR, DOT, EPA, OSHA, state and county, etc.)* Coordinate all health & safety related training for new and existing employees; maintain safety training records for all associates.* Coordinate store safety inspections and make recommendations to district managers for physical hazards* Administer, maintain, and monitor a safe driving program; monitor company CSA 2010 rating; coordinate with Transportation on DOT driver file requirements&#160;* Manage Contractor Safety Program; maintain signed agreements and insurance documentation from contractors* Research new industry safety & compliance regulations, technology, equipment, trends, and related incidents; educate management of discoveries&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;* Support Risk Management, Training, Loss Prevention, Field Operations, Logistics management in safety process and procedure implementation* Coordinate accident investigations for all associate injuries, vehicle accidents, liability claims, and near misses; review with VP of HR, Risk Management and Operations for corrective actions* Chair a safety committee which meets quarterly to provide feedback on safety concerns or ideas; representation from each region/department* Develop a safety incentive program that acknowledges safe locations, safe drivers, and safe associates.Required Experience* Experience within the retail space is a must.* Expertise in safety and compliance management.* 10+ years of experience in safety and compliance with increasing responsibility, management experience and proven, objective record of success.* Ability to work with all levels of management.* Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).* Strong financial skills; including financial analysis, budget preparation, etc.* Expertise in safety program implementation.* Ability to assist with metrics and numbers.* Experience managing state and federal agency relationships.* Experience managing budget and performing financial analysis.Job LocationCity of Commerce, CA, US.Position TypeFull-Time/Regular
