Partnering with Store Operations, the individual will execute the design, implementation, administration and monitoring of best practices and programs within an assigned territory. Ideal candidate must understand the definition of the words ''Reasonable'' and ''Flexible'' as you work to improve employee productivity, experiences and morale.Required Skills* Responsible for overall staffing activities within the assigned multi state region* Maintain talent bench for succession planning* Identify training needs and opportunities* Advise and make reccomendations to store, district and regional team members on all areas of human resources.* Visit stores periodically and build trusting consultative relationships with employees and store management.* Work closely with specialists at the SSC on issues and concerns requiring HR specialist expertise.* Assist stores with recruitment and ensure consistent practices throughout the Company.* Coordinate and facilitate onsite job fairs for grand openings.* Coordinate performance management program by ensuring performance expectations are being set, and policy guidelines are being met, conducted effectively and timely.* Maintain controls and SOX compliance for all responsibility areas and bring leadership to Company-wide efforts to achieve and maintain SOX compliance in Human Resources; understand Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) exposures in areas of responsibility and maintain controls for all ERM key controls for all responsibility areas, including;          -Monitoring and enforcing the rest and meal break policy compliance for store associates.-Ensuring that FLSA guidelines and Company policies are adhered to in the hiring, transferring, and promoting of associates. -Adhering to state and federal laws as it pertains to correct employment documentation (I9, Minor Work Permits, etc.) -Monitor turnover and measure retention in key position areas to ensure knowledge base is retained.* Train stores, district, and regional management in all areas of human capital management including: sexual harassment, leadership skills and development, recruitment, performance management, separations, benefits, etc.* Handle various employee relations issues, such as investigating employees complaints, resolving employee conflicts and advising appropriate action to store, district, and/or regional management staff through the claims management system.* Develop solutions based on metrics derived from claims management system.* Develop and maintain a working partnership with Loss Prevention, Regional & District Managers, and Training & Development to resolve issues.* Implementation and revision of policies and procedures.* Respond to employees inquiries on policies and procedures.* Respond to employee related emergencies/traumatizing experiences (armed robberies, medical emergencies, etc.)* Serve as a resource to field team members for answering general benefit questions (health, 401(k), stock options, etc.) and provide advice on unemployment hearings and workers comp hearings in addition to attending other specific agency hearings.* Assist with open enrollment process for health insurance and 401(k) by facilitating and conducting meetings within your assigned area. Required Experience* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred* 5+ Years of Multi Unit Retail Experience Required.* Working knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations governing employment.* High level of integrity and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner is a must.* Proven ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team environment* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Knowledge of HRIS Systems, Internet Sourcing, Payro
