<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Maintenance Planner/schedulerJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: CA, CommerceRelocation: NoJob Description:Kerry, Inc., a worldwide leader in the manufacture of quality food ingredients has a challenging opportunity to join our very successful and growing organization as a maintenance planner/scheduler in our Commerce, CA. plant.Position Scope:The primary role of the maintenance planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating in advance potential delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, machine time and manpower.The planner / scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work performed in the area to which he/she is assigned. He/she maintains liaison and coordination between the production and maintenance organizations; maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or work done.RESPONSIBILITIES:1) Act as a liaison between Production and Maintenance to coordinate all maintenance work performed at the site2) Ability to evaluate tasks and create step by step instructions for completing the tasks.3) Evaluate equipment history to develop preventative maintenance tasks.4) Scheduling tasks and work orders for the maintenance staff.5) Developing preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment throughout the plant.6) Responsible for both long range and short range maintenance planning7) Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS/Qualifications:1) Engineering degree or technical school training.2) Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.3) Maintenance background with the understanding of equipment repair processes.4) Must have good computer skills.5) Must have an understanding of safe work practices.6) Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency.7) Knowledge of MP2 Computerized Maintenance Management Software is a plus.8) Food manufacturing experience preferredWe are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
