<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Mgr, Finance Job ID: TS20120711-26207 Description:ATK Space Systems, Commerce, CA. is a leader in the design and manufacture of titanium pressuring vessels used in the space flight industry.ATK is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Commerce, CA.This role is a leadership position in finance at a production site providing financial planning and control services including: analyzing financial results, managing the EAC/ETC (program finance) process, apply accepted accounting methods, control budgets, sales analysis, manufacturing costs, and profit. This position will manage a staff of financial analysts.The successful applicant will provide hands on, day to day interactive team leadership and management support in accounting, finance, and program contract areas. This will include program/contract analysis, financial analysis, troubleshooting day to day accounting anomalies, budget/forecasting, audit support, program P/L, accurate and timely reporting to the General Manger, Division and Corporate headquarters.Responsibilities include preparation and direction of a variety of accounting and finance activities: timely and accurate financial statements including summary reports of budget versus forecast & expenses, budgets/forecasts in areas of income, expense & balance sheet; inventory monitoring, cash management; analysis of financial performance of the programs, develop & publish with supporting detail various accounting reports, monitor and maintain an adequate system of internal controls.Requirements* BS in Accounting / Finance plus a minimum of 10 total years of finance experience including 2 years of management experience in an aerospace/defense environment. Advanced degree may be used as a substitute for years of experience.* Demonstrated management skills including:* Managing department functions* Planning & priority setting* Time management* Organizing and delegating responsibility w/accountability for timely & accurate completion of assignments* Quality & timely decision making* Manage monthly, quarterly and year end closing, cash, and all other critical financial data management.* Fully knowledgeable of manufacturing costs, variances, inventory, program finance controls (EAC/ETC)* Financial planning and related accounting responsibilities.* Experience with a multitude of software application programs, i.e., word, excel, power point, with capacity to learn/understand in-house application programs.* Ability to effectively and clearly present financial and other data to all levels of organization utilizing, numerous software applications and communication system.* Strong analytical ability with excellent detail orientation.* Working knowledge of Deltek, & Costpoint financial reporting is desirable.* Experience managing direct reports in various accounting and program finance function, and proven ability to lead project teams through to completion.* Travel to division, corporate and other locations as required.ATK has the people, strategy, agility, and products to thrive in a highly dynamic national security and space environment.
