We are constantly pushing the boundaries of our nation''s capabilities in space.Position Summary:Responsibilities include purchasing material, parts, services and processes, i.e., machining, stamping, formed parts, in compliance with technical specifications, including blue prints and other technical documents, as well as purchase non standard machining, EDM, stamping, formed parts and laser cutting services for titanium, stainless steel and other alloys, and, standard, low to high valued machinery, equipment, tools made to print, raw materials, parts, services and supplies necessary for manufacturing operations of machining, cleaning, NDT, X-Ray, Test, Inspection and all other support departments, and, specialized/custom packaging and shipping containers for flight hardware. Negotiate prices, delivery, terms and conditions and ensure compliance with all contract provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas. Research vendor resources for selection based on technical capabilities, services and ability to produce required component/services. Develop competitive sources of supply in accordance with best practices, company policies, procedures and government regulations.  Investigate and analyze vendor products/services. Develop and maintain good, ethical supplier relationships, ensure selected vendors comply with procurement standards, schedules and other requirements. Coordinate activities, and follow-up with other departments; Communicate terms and conditions have been properly flowed down from customer contracts to supplier contracts. Establish and maintain formal agreements, (purchase orders with suppliers), incorporate customer or internal changes into contract or PO''s financial performance. Ensure PO is within program budget. Resolve procurement issues, including supplier progress and/ or problems. Recommend pricing using cost/pricing and best price analysis. Assist finance in forecasting for ETC purposes. Track cost savings and cost avoidance. Track and support discrepant factor (negotiated savings) to the customer. Apply Import/Export regulations, such as ITAR registration, and other government contract requirement compliance, i.e, FAR, DFAR, support internal and external auditing processes for AS91001, rev c, DCAA and other organizations. Monitor and measure supplier performance, implement continuous improvement methodologies and recommendations utilizing value stream mapping, Kaizen process improvements.Position RequirementsMin 8 yrs current procurement exp within an aerospace manufacturing environment plus BS, in Business Admin, or Industrial Engineering. Fully knowledgeable of value stream mapping, lean implementation processes, certification in Kaizen, and/or APICS. Knowledge of machining processes, metal/alloy, raw material, manufacturing processes, i.e, welding, stamping, metal forming, tooling made to print and fabrication of titanium, stainless steel. Read and interpret technical documents, i.e, blue prints, engineering drawings, quality assurance requirements, AS91001, rev C., requirements and government regulations including ITAR, FAR, DCAA. Excellent knowledge and experience in negotiation of price, delivery, contractual agreements, excellent negotiation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. Experienced with MRP, Supply Chain Mgmt, procurement principles, AS91001, rev c., internal/external audit processes. Exceptional organization and detail orientation to maintain procurement scheduling in conjunction with production requirements; fully knowledgeable of accounting fundamentals.
