JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>We have an immediate opening for a skilled Safety  Security Administrator to serve as the Safety, Health,  Environmental Representative for the RFESS Contract. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the RFESS Safety and Health Plan, developing new written safety programs and updating current programs for the Safety and Health Plan. In addition, the Safety  Security Administrator will conduct an annual review of the Plan <br><br>
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
Perform Work Place, Job Hazard and Safety Risk Analyses and conduct workplace inspections and safety investigations.  Review the results of monthly workplace inspections conducted by the supervisors/section leads.  Develop and maintain the Workplace Inspection Checklist and produce the Monthly Safety Technical Progress Report <br><br>
Prepare safety plans for Arcata construction/maintenance projects, review vendor safety plans and certifications for construction/maintenance projects and submit the plans for review to the NASA Safety Office and to the NASA Facilities Office. Regularly monitor construction/maintenance activities and ensure daily tail-gate safety meetings are conducted and documented<br><br>
Ensure that all employees receive all required Safety and Health training.  Select safety and health related training materials and assign computer-based safety and health training through Arcatas Learning Management System. <br>

Assess the need for personal protective equipment select and procure PPE and other safety items.  Schedule training for personnel assigned personal protective equipment.
Maintain current Safety Data Sheets and the Hazardous Materials Inventory List<br><br>
Report all safety issues and concerns to the Dryden Flight Research Center Safety Office and Administer Safety and Health Programs required by the NASA Safety Office, Federal and California OSHA<br><br>
Serve as the safety representative on the RFESS Safety Committee produce the annual Comprehensive Accident/Injury Summary Report as well as maintain and post the OSHA 300 Report.<br><br>
Conduct quarterly All Hands Safety  Security Meetings participate in the Contractor Safety Council Meeting produce the Monthly Safety Technical Progress Report<br>

Serve as the Site Security Administrator process visit requests, sponsor visitors onto the base, updates Protective Services on changes to the VAL, enters new employees in IDMax and coordinates changes to identities, updates the Security Plan as required<br><br>
The ideal candidate will have 2 -4 years experience with<br>
California and Federal OSHA regulations
Federal, State and Local safety, health and environmental protection regulations.  <br>
General knowledge of NASA safety regulations, COMSEC and OPSEC.<br>
Certified Safety Professional CSP desirable<br>

The Safety  Security Administrator position requires <br>
Associates Degree in Safety or a related field <br>
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level Government Security Clearance <br>
California State Drivers License<br><br>
