ACCOUNTANT I / II.
Minimum Qualifications.
While the following requirements outline the minimum qualifications, the department reserves the right to select applicants for further consideration who demonstrate the best qualifications match for the job.
EITHER.
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Successful completion of the Certified Public Accountant exam may be substituted for the required education.
OR Successful completion of 60 semester or 90 quarter college units from an accredited college or university, including 15 semester or 22 quarter units in Accounting.
AND 2 years of full time experience comparable to an Accounting Technician, or 2 years of full time paraprofessional accounting experience.
POSITION.
Under the general supervision , performs a variety of professional accounting, auditing, and or fiscal analysis involved in coordinating and overseeing various accounting activities in the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and verification of the departments fiscal and budget records.  Directs a variety of the departments fiscal and budget records.
DEADLINE TO APPLY, November 26th, at 5pm.
TENATIVE EXAMINATION DATE. Written exam, Saturday December 8, 2012.
Examination will be held in Imperial County.
LOCATION. The resulting list will be used to fill vacancies in El Centro, CA.
