JOB SUMMARY:

Candidate must be able to speak Spanish and follow established agency, department and program policies and procedures. Must be patience with and tolerance of children.
Essential Duties
* Willingness to work evening or night shifts, and fill in as needed.
* Demonstrate confidence ability to work independently, set priorities, accomplish assigned tasks
* Possess patience remain tolerant of children adults model appropriate parenting skills for mothers.
* Conduct intake of prospective residents using proper forms.
* Explain policies/procedures to incoming residents orient new residents to facility.
* Provide supervision of residents.
* Maintain daily resident attendance sheet make log book notations. Make accurate reports to supervisor of incidents.
* Oversee and assist residents in chores, giving instructions and encouragement, as needed.
* Participate in client education social activities.
* Prepare noon, evening or morning meal, depending on shift, for household
* Translate for limited English speaking clients.
* Work with volunteers, assisting in training them on HOH procedures, as needed.
* Maintain and stock storage areas, as needed.
* Complete cleaning, laundry and other maintenance duties for the upkeep of the facility, as assigned.
* Inspect and maintain premises, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions. Secure facility at end of shift. Make minor repairs if possible.
* Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
* Receive itemize donations issue receipts to donors for donated items supervise donation management
* Provide residents with information and referrals as needed.
* Maintain and enforce program limits, policies and procedures.
* Report and keep management apprised of issues, problems, complaints and/or concerns expressed by the residents of the shelter or related to staff members.
