<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>This is a long term temporary position with RaytheonAs a member of Incident Response & Threat Management Team at one of the Raytheon business units - Space and Airborne Systems (SAS), an Information Security Technologist handles all computer security related incidents across the SAS business unit. You will be responsible to investigate suspicious activity, triage and correlate events, conduct technical analysis of the offense, hold interview with the affected users, and interact with Security Response Coordinators for dispatching field technician to perform onsite investigation, mitigation and remediation. You will provide immediate and efficient response to computer security incidents ranging from intrusions, malware, virus, unauthorized access and network scans, unsafe protocol usage, use of P2P software, insider attacks, and loss of proprietary information and computer assets. You will work close with Enterprise IT Security at the corporate level in order to quickly identify, alert, respond and mitigate information security incidents.This position is responsible for:* Investigating alerts generated by Intrusion Detection System at Enterprise IT Security* Communicate status of response, resolution and final root cause analysis to Enterprise IT Security* Assisting in the identification, containment, eradication, and recovery of APT incidents* Coordinating activities with system administrators when incidents occur in closed areas, and off-site data center* Providing feedback on the tuning of signatures, rules, alerts, parsers, and custom scripts* Interacting with Security Response Coordinators and field technicians during the investigation stage* Managing workflow and updating of trouble ticket systems* Ensuring that all incidents are recorded and tracked to meet audit and legal requirements.* Providing timely and accurate status updates of ongoing activities* Responding to critical computer security incidents by collecting, analyzing and preserving digital evidence* Gathering and analyzing forensic evidence for all computer security incidents* Coordinating with SAS subsidiaries to investigate information security incidents* Advising SAS subsidiaries on issues of suspicious or malicious computer network activity.* Liaison with SAS Global Security Services regarding insider threats and code of conduct violations* Reviewing external information sources for situational awareness of the threat landscape* Participating, contributing and assisting in company information security awareness campaignEducation Requirements:Bachelors or equivalent experience; preferred Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field.Experience Requirements:A minimum of 2 years of related experience.Desired Qualifications:High aptitude for troubleshooting, with a background in Windows and Unix/Linux system administration, or desktop support.Experience working in a network security environment, such as a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) or Security Operations Center (SOC) is preferred.One or more of the following certification designations is preferred:* Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP* GIAC Certified Incident Handler - GCIH* GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner - GCFE* GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst - GCFA* GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst - GCIA* Certified Ethical Hacker - CEH* Other Technical Certifications considered* U.S. Government Security Clearance, and/or capability to obtain clearance.Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.Providing mission critical technical services and innovative solutions.Raytheon Company, with 2008 sales of $23.2 billion, is a technology leader sp
