<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Hardware Systems EngineerThe Hardware Systems Engineer (HSE) will own the mechanical design at the system level. The successful candidate will develop innovative system level mechanical design architecture. The HSE will ensure mechanical system level requirements flow down to the sub-system level and roll up to meet system level requirements. The HSE will work at the technical level with suppliers, customers and Raytheon engineering and manufacturing to reach optimum design solutions. Leads program and customer reviews from mechanical systems perspective. Drives design closure to program need dates. The HSE will write mechanical system sections of technical proposals.The HSE will interact on par with program Chief Engineers/Lead Systems Engineers to manage Mechanical Systems requirements budgets and allocations. Directs hand-offs and tracks changes that impact system level and sub-system level requirements alike. Owns Mechanical Systems architecture and develops product line technical road maps for insertion of key new technologies. Will Interfaces directly with customers to influence their scope definition and requirements flow down to align with our product capabilities and tech roadmap for business capture.The HSE will also lead a design team to generate work products that meet flowed down requirements and has a technical lead role within the IPT to ensure integrated solutions with properly understood dependencies are planned, scheduled, budgeted, and executed.Required Skills:* 10+ years of experience* Experience in Defense industry with design, development and manufacture of EO/IR Systems* Opto Mechanical Engineering and mechanisms* Proficient in Pro-Engineer CAD Software* Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret ClearanceRequired Education:* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringGo further.
