Monitors, researches and resolves unpaid, rejected and denied claims.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Follows up with payers, vendors and clearinghouse on open insurance claims and balances* Initiates and answers correspondence for claims resolution with insurance carriers and clinics* Updates patient accounts as necessary* Identifies and investigates claim formatting issues and escalates to approved department* Files and re-files primary and secondary claims* Resolves denial log entries* Posts approved adjustments* Closes clinics and runs daily reports as necessaryEducation and/or Experience Preferred: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months experience with insurance billing and account follow-up procedures including experience researching and resolving claims denied by insurance carriers; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
