(EMOMI)operates eight natural gas power plants in partnership with other companies in California and a waste coal plant in West Virginia. EMOMI also operates a number of wind farms located in Iowa, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Minnesota. Power from these facilities is sold under contracts to various utilities.Job Responsibilities:Assists the Administrative Supervisor in providing Personnel Administration as required by corporate policy.Certified Scheduling Coordinator (SC) with California Independent System Operator (CAISO)Responsible for all CAISO settlement statements. Download and validate daily data from CAISO Scheduling Infrastructure and Business Rules (SIBR) and CAISO Market Results Interface (CMRI) systems. This includes verifying hourly SC to SC trade schedules, meter reads, recorded phone logs, and daily log book entries. Communicate with CAISO meter data personnel to ensure valid meter data.Download and validate bi-monthly invoices from CAISO Settlements and Market Clearing (SaMC). Ensure timely and accurate wire payment of all CAISO invoices. Estimate future payables and receivables to/from the CAISO to alert management of security requirements.Estimate and reconcile the allocation of CAISO charges and payments with each contracted entity, and MSCC on a 10-minute basis. Ensure that all CAISO charge types are allocated appropriately based on contract.Communicate with contracted entity representatives to confirm methodologies of CAISO charges and ensure timely payments.Participate in working groups/meetings with CAISO on upcoming market changes and current issues. Administers quarterly random drug screenings per DOT substance policy. Set up new hire drug screenings, and maintain confidential DOT files.Maintains and updates files and spreadsheets related to plant daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly operational, production, and financial data.Compiles the Monthly Operating Report (MOR) and graphs to summarize revenues and administrative and operational expenses for management. Maintains and updates the MOR database.Monitors and maintains knowledge of power sales contracts, in order to balance power sales of overall plant to each contract.Responsible for A/R and invoicing contracts monthly. Ensure accurate and timely payments are received from contracts.Forecast revenues and expenses for net income estimates on a monthly basis, and maintain cash flow worksheet for management decisions. Reconcile cash flow with EMG/Irvine Cash Management to ensure accuracy.Forecast monthly fuel usage using projected outage plans and projected electricity production.Review monthly financial statements from EMG/Irvine Accounting to ensure accuracy. Assist auditors and EMG/Irvine accounting with yearend audit of financial statements. Monitors daily plant status reports and insures validity of data. Obtain and ensure accurate data on all electrical meters and steam volumetrics.Completes annual thermodynamic efficiency reports for the QF contracts.Calculate and report the Equivalent Availability Factor on a monthly basis.Compile quarterly Air Quality Reports and Annual Operating Report for the Compliance Manager.Responsible for compiling and submitting monthly and quarterly compliance reporting to the Department of Energy (DOE) and the California Energy Commission (CEC).
