<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Req ID # 6685BRAdvertised Position Title Direct Support Supply Activity SupervisorDivision Mission SystemsWork Location CA, Fort IrwinJob Description THIS POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARDPOSITION SUMMARY:The DSSA Supervisor is responsible to the Supply Manager for the supervision and accomplishment of Direct Supply Support Activity duties in accordance with applicable Army regulations, policies and procedures. Direct and supervise the activities of materiel receipt, storage and issue. Supervise the management and control of the DSSA supporting the Logistics Support Services (LSS) contract.MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1. Operate the National Training Center (NTC) Direct Supply Support Activity (DSSA) providing Class IX and customer assistance supply support to select Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) units, Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) activities, Base Operations Contractor organizational maintenance shops and to all rotational brigades deployed to the NTC.2. Manage Class IX items IAW AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-2, AR 25-400-2 and FM 10-27 using Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) Standard Army Retail Supply System-1 (SARSS1) stock record accounting procedures.3. Provide Stock Control services and manage the authorized stockage list (ASL) and non-stockage list (NSL) assets located in the DSSA using SARSS1, Materiel Release Order Control System (MROCS) Personal Data Collection Device (PDCD) and Automated Manifest System (AMS).4. Provide and process Customer Reconciliation Listings (PCN AJT-028) to each customer unit.5. Maintain customer unit signature cards, Notice of Delegation of Authority - Receipt for Supplies, (DA Form 1687).6. Provide customer unit''s requisition status through the use of status diskettes or modem. Post customer assistance procedures and other pertinent DSSA operation information.7. Off-load and/or process all supplies and equipment shipped to DSSA.8. Verify parts picked up by customer units using the STAMIS, SARSS1, MROCS/PDCD or manual process when the system is not operational.9. Retain or turn-in ASL items identified by the excess cycle as approved by the Accountable Officer; process all parts turned in by the customers.10. Coordinate and insure delivery and pick up items to/from Installation Supply Support Activity (ISSA).11. Establish and maintain accountability of MROs, perform location maintenance and complete location survey/inventory scheduled by the Accountable Officer.12. Store supplies in locations specified in the Availability Balance File (ABF), Location Files and ensure that all identifying data is correct; maintain the accuracy of the DSSA stock record account, IAW AR 710-2; conduct, document and submit causative research of inventory discrepancies to the Accountable Officer.13. Performs other duties as assigned.MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Personal computer and other general office equipment. Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS) software.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Work is generally conducted in an office environment and at project work areas. Duties, however, may involve the conduct of work outdoors with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical dangers and chemical or hazardous agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published work rules.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High School graduate or equivalent; Associate Degree is desirable.
