<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Position is full-time exempt (salaried) working with the Life Cycle Contractor Support for the Warfighter FOCUS (WFF) program under the Warrior Training Alliance at the National Training Center.The WFF NTC is located at Fort Irwin, CA in the Mojave Desert approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA. Responsibilities:Primary responsibility is the system administration of the NTC Instrumentation System (NTC-IS). Incumbent will perform as the subject matter expert in software operation and system configuration with experience working in a complex fast paced DoD/ARMY computing environment. Candidate will serve as configuration specialist for the servers, and workstations. Responsibilities to include software/patch installation/implementation, conduct research, and maintain internal data processing for computer systems and utilities. Administration level experience with Windows XP, Window 7, Server 2003/2008; Red Hat Linux, VMware, Tape Backups, backup utilities and Share Point is required. Strong Active Directory, GPO creation, deployment and troubleshooting experience is highly desirable. Candidate will be able to apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers'' manuals or similar documents. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of networks and micro-wave broadcast.  Responsibilities can include: Functional testing consisting of performing operational diagnostic checks, and unscheduled corrective actions of computer code and system functionality. Will employ a variety of specialized test equipment and complex electronic computer code/schematics and diagrams in conducting fault isolation, and use the data gained through the troubleshooting/repair process to prepare and revise maintenance instructions and procedures and to recommend and implement manufacturer/engineering changes. Ensures all maintenance, training, supply and property process/practices supporting site operations are implemented and documented in a maintenance tracking database. Responsible for the working with government customer, site management, and sub-contractors to ensure repair functions meet mission requirements at NTC or while deployed. Adhere to the directives, memoranda, policies, procedures and practices implemented by the company, site manager, division manager, section, team leader. Support quality/ISO, security and safety training programs and directives. Incumbent should be familiar with the National Institute of Standard, Technology Computer Security Standard, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), DOD Directive 8500.1, 8500.2, Army Regulation 25-2. Incumbent must have or be able to obtain within six months of hire, IAT level II. It is highly desirable for incumbent to possess certifications in Security+, A+, MCSA, MCSE and/or OCP. Incumbent performs other duties as may be assigned. Required Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree. Relevant years of related technical experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.Required Experience: One year of experience in Windows Server 2003/2008 system administration. One year of experience with Server/ Client environments. Experience with Active Directory and Group Policies. One year of experience with Red Hat Linux. Candidate will have VMware ESX or other Virtualization experience with direct experience in the set up and management of Windows Domains. MAXIMO Database experience is a plus. Experience associated with the technical terminology, schemes, scenarios, and maneuvers applied by the U. S. Army in the NTC training environment would be plus.Desired Physical Abilities: Must be able to perform duties and travel in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, and wind) and at height (helicopter travel, mountain tops, elevated walk areas and towers).Special Requirements: Must have valid drivers license and maintain Post driving privileges.
