Coordinates and leads activities of subordinates and cross-functional teams. Evaluates and analyzes current work methods to foster continuous improvement.2.May perform higher-level tasks associated with an individual contributor role. Analyzes tasks to establish needed staff personnel skill mixes to accomplish chartered work. Evaluates and implements changes in work procedures in assigned areas. Develops and implements new processes and procedures as needed.3.Conducts performance evaluations, plans salary actions, recommends promotions, interprets and applies organization policies, and provides leadership toward resolving employee problems.4.Champions, coaches and motivates teams and/or team members. Provides career development and training for subordinates.5.Conducts meetings and technical presentations.6.Provides technical direction as required.7.Primary customer interface for departmental group issues.8.Position is guided by department/program objectives as largely defined by customer Area of Emphasis (AOE). Provides direction to staff and assists with the development of department and company initiatives. Develops long-range plans for enhancing service performance to both internal and external customers. Decisions may have a major impact on the overall success of the department or program.9.Provides significant customer influence on operational issues. Applies wide application of theories, principles and concepts to operational planning and all aspects of departmental goals. The candidate will maintain tight fiscal controls and operational performance.10.Power Systems experience a must.11.Work independently as well as in a team environment. Develop a working relationship with all internal and external customers.12.Possess strong leadership skills, ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate staff of professionals; has team building and facilitation skills. Exhibits full use of standard theories, principles, concepts and techniques associated with maintenance of responsible systems. Knowledge of advanced aspects of technical specialties in assigned area (s) of responsibilities.Required Experience: Education/Experience:BA/BS degree preferred with at least 10 years of progressive experience, 4 of which were in a supervisory/managerial capacity. In lieu of formal education, 12 years of related experience and specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will be considered.In lieu of formal education, 16 years of experience.
