Direct, manage or support the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media and the PR/Marketing team at large as follows: * Creations and Execution of PR Plans to support the Social Media Program, including development of initial formalized social media presence across facebook, twitter, blogosphere, etc.* Driving Content calendar and all content creation for Social Media Program including short and long form of necessary content across all platforms, collaborating with various marketing groups within SNE, as well as content and service partners. * Idea Generation for Communication Plans and programs/campaigns for all facets of communication team efforts. * Coordinate and drive PR agencies and various vendors to deliver on planned programs and production elements decided by Communications Team. * Excel in relationship development with key members of Social Media outlets, bloggers, enthusiasts, consumer and business media, including other NPSG and SNE departments and both internal and external partners* Execute on strategic (both reactive and proactive programs) to gain media mind share and understanding of the platforms and how they relate to overall industry news. * Complete projects with minimal supervision and direction and be able to manage up to Sr. Director and other Managers/Directors, as well as keep the entire team up-to-date on the various programs in Social Media sphere.* Participate in creative brainstorming among both internal and external teams, and provide active feedback and creative ideas.* Coordinate media and tracking procedures for Social Media program. Qualifications:* PEOPLE: Great interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate and work collectively toward a single goal, both internally and externally. Must be collaborative and creative in working through best practices for social media exposure of company news. Must also possess ability to provide counsel and direction internally for social media practices. * PROCESS: Ability to manage on a short lead schedule, plan ahead, execute on creative ideas, work from and towards a pre-planned schedule. Must possess ability to create content and drive a elaborate content creation process across all aspects of company products and services.* TECHNICAL: Must have word-press efficiency, as well as that of collaborative document sharing services (ie Google Docs), as well as Photoshop, Final Cut and other content creation software.* PLANNING/IMPLEMENTATION: Think creatively; plan ahead, ability to execute on short deadlines and long term agendas. Must possess ability to develop a long term editorial plan, as well as execute on short term content schedule, react quickly with changes and collaborate across all Sony divisions. * INDUSTRY: Knowledge of networked services industry a plus, knowledge of blogosphere and industry outlets a must.Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
